This project was to design a hero and a villain character for a new horror franchise and tie those characters together somehow through visual storytelling.
IDEA SYNOPSIS: James and Olivia Beckington are siblings, born into a wealthy noble family in Victorian England. Their family lead a secret society that worship a dead angel, coveting what they believe to be a piece of that angel's corpse.
The cult valued the siblings as 'The Chosen Ones'. Upon his 13th birthday, James (being the next head of the family) was to make contact with the relic, but things didnt go as planned. When James touched it, somthing started to take hold of him, he could hear whispering from unearthly beings and his arm started to change as a corruption spread. He yanked his hand away before the changes had taken full hold of him and ran.
When the cult couldn't locate him, they turned to the sister he left behind. She was left to be groomed into the perfect cult leader, incredibly devote to their ultimate mission, revival of the being. It bestowed its full gifts upon her instead, changing her.
Years later James hears rumours of whats happening, and still coming to terms with his trauma at experiencing what no mortal man should experience, heads back to confront his past and try and put a stop to the cults mission and his family's plans before things get much worse.
